Sue anticipated the lockdown and asked parents of Brownies their permission for their girls to be able to use their parent's social media accounts for Alston Brownie virtual meetings. The girls are meeting up with Sue, at specified times with their parent's supervision and can chat and catch up with each other. They have also been doing lots of badge work. This is about learning new skills. Sue is delighted that they have completed more badges in the last two months than the previous two years. Sue has not used social media before so has been learning very fast too, and so should probably awarded a Brownie Leader IT badge, if such a thing existed. Thanks to Sue for helping young people feel connected and achieve new skills in these strange times.
