A date has not been fixed yet. The council is arranging it and has said it will confirm it as soon as it can. We will share the date here, on the community page and on the campaign website the moment we have it.
This is the format we have been asking for. A public meeting means the whole community can hear the same questions and the same answers, in the open and at the same time — and it gives the council the chance to be heard as well. To be clear, this is not a shout-in. It is a chance for proper, two-way conversation about a decision that affects everyone on Alston Moor.
In the meantime, the council's drop-in sessions are continuing.
The next one is on Monday 15 June from 5pm at Alston Town Hall. We would encourage anyone who can to go along and speak one-to-one with the WFC officers — every conversation helps them understand what this home means to local people.
Grisedale Croft is the only care home on Alston Moor.
