We can now confirm that it has not yet launched. On 1 May, Westmorland and Furness Council published a statement saying it is still finalising the consultation materials and is now aiming to open the consultation in mid-May, with the 12-week period running from that point.
This means there is still time to prepare. The Parish Council will share the consultation link and closing date as soon as we have them, and we will be encouraging every resident, family member and anyone with a connection to Grisedale Croft to take part. A formal response from the Parish Council is also being prepared. You can follow the campaign and read all the background on this website.
In the meantime, if you or someone in your family has been affected by the availability — or lack of availability — of a place at Grisedale Croft, we are gathering evidence now. This includes people who were placed out of the area, people who were never told a place at Grisedale Croft was an option, and families who have had to travel long distances to visit a loved one. If that is your experience, please share it using the form at https://forms.gle/W5f2Axf5PEjigGQi9. Or on this site here https://alstonmoorhealth.org/get-involved
Paper copies are available at the Town Hall and at all three Post Offices on Alston Moor.
Every account matters. The more evidence the Parish Council has, the stronger our response to the consultation will be.
