If you, or someone you know, needed residential, nursing, respite or rehabilitation care on Alston Moor in recent years — whether or not the person was placed at Grisedale Croft — the Parish Council would like to hear from you.

Alston Moor Parish Council is gathering accounts of people from Alston Moor and the surrounding area who needed residential, nursing, respite or rehabilitation care but were not placed at Grisedale Croft. This helps make the case to Westmorland and Furness Council for keeping the home open.

Your account matters whether the person was being discharged from hospital, was struggling to manage at home, could not get home carers, or needed care for any other reason. Please share whatever you feel able to — most questions are optional, and even partial information is useful. If recalling these events is difficult, please answer only what feels comfortable.

Privacy: the information is held by Alston Moor Parish Council and used only for the campaign to retain Grisedale Croft, including representations to the Council, elected representatives and, where you give permission, the press. It is kept until the campaign concludes and then securely deleted. You can withdraw your contribution at any time by contacting the Parish Clerk.
